Violent Video Games Allow Permissive Attitudes Toward Marijuana Use Among Others
Well it was only a matter of time before violent video games were blamed for the downfall of society. Researchers conducted a study in which two groups of male college undergraduates (age 18-21) were allowed to play one of two video games. Group one played The Simpsons: Hit and Run, while group two played Grand Theft Auto III. The researchers were trying "to test the effects of media violence exposure on blood pressure, negative affect, hostile social information processing, uncooperative behavior, and attitudes toward health risk behaviors among young men varying in lifetime violence exposure within the home and community."
The results are incredible. Playing violent video games affects your level of aggression(higher aggression for more exposure) and also extends one step further to increase your level of overall risk-taking behavior.
So, in conclusion, if you play violent video games you are more at risk to participate in unprotected sex while smoking marijuana. Gotta love how video games are the root of all evil. What ever happened to the studies on Eminem?
