A Wii Bit Disappointed

As a lifetime supporter of Nintendo of America(NOA), I can not help but feel slighted by the fact that the launch of the Wii passed without even a murmur of discontent from loyal fans. Do you no longer feel the need for a mario-based game? Or have you outgrown Yoshi?
These questions are simply answered with a "come on now, are you serious!?". Nintendo needs to remember why they procured so many loyal fans in the first place, by creating an intriguing set of characters that gamers enjoyed interacting with. From mario throwing a fireball to Yoshi eating a koopatroopa's shell; Please give us what we want NINTENDO and by that I mean "GIVE ME MY MARIO BACK!" At the next system launch in 2018 I expect a Zelda or Mario game.
