Best Character of All-Time

As an ongoing debate in the video game world, the question of who(or what) is the best character of all-time is constantly up for discussion. Some would even claim that no one character can be the best since there are so many different categories of video games(RPG, adventure, sims, etc.). Well I am here to dismiss all claims that there can be no one true winner.

AND NOW...drumroll please...THE AWARD FOR BEST VIDEO GAME CHARACTER EVER GOES TO: Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

No other character has transformed as well from the original NES, to the Super NES, and now the Gamecube. This character has limitless bounds. What do I mean by this? Simply that Link has no defined age. He changes with the times so effortlessly. The overwhelming proportion of Zelda fans get what they ask for every time, an action/adventure like no other that came before it.

Plus, what other character would stand a chance against an elf with a sword and shield(not to mention his bow and arrow)?

So there you have it! My choice for best character of all-time. And yes, I will whip you in super smash bros. melee with Link every time(especially when you are crying that my spinning sword move is cheap).
